What is the ‘ZZP Workshops’ subsidy?

‘ZZP Workshops’ is a subsidy by Oog voor Impuls for anyone who wants to help independent professionals in the cultural and creative sector to set up a healthy professional practice. These can be trade associations, professional organisations, and clients, but also independent professionals who want to organize a workshop together.

The subsidy is based on the need among self-employed professionals for explanation and assistance in taking out disability insurance or a pension scheme and information about the consequences of the DBA Act (preventing false self-employment).

Who is this subsidy for?

  • Trade associations, professional organizations, and clients who wish to inform and support independent professionals working in the cultural and creative sector.
  • Self-employed individuals who want to organize a workshop together, for example, with colleagues, fellow entrepreneurs, or with other joint initiatives.

That sounds good, but how exactly does it work?

Oog voor Impuls helps you organize various workshops that are aimed at supporting cultural and creative self-employed individuals in setting up a healthy professional practice. The topics you can choose from are pension, disability benefits, or the DBA Act. You can fill in these workshops entirely according to your own wishes. For example, you can hire experts or speakers with an inspiring and educational talk. Or work on the topic in groups and exchange experiences over a drink. Oog voor Impuls offers you financial support.

I would like to organize a workshop, but I have no idea how and with whom to organize it.

For organizations or self-employed individuals who, for whatever reason, cannot fill in the content of the workshop themselves, we offer support. We can put you in touch with one or more experts. In addition, we can give you tips on organizing a workshop. Please note: As an organization, you determine and organize the content yourself, and you are the contact person for the self-employed individuals and experts who participate.

What can I organize a workshop about?

There are three themes you can organize a workshop on:

  • False self-employment and the DBA law

In the cultural and creative sector, a lot of work is done by self-employed individuals. Sometimes there is a case of false self-employment: someone presents themselves or is deployed as a self-employed professional, while according to employment law, there is actually an employment relationship. In the ZZP Workshop on false self-employment and the DBA Act, an expert can explain whether there is an employment relationship using examples of assignments and agreements with clients. For example, the expert can give tips on how to prevent false self-employment and how to make fair agreements with clients.

  • Disability benefits (Fix your disability insurance)

The range of disability benefits for the self-employed is large. During the ZZP Workshop ‘Fix je AOV’ an expert will provide insight into the types of disability benefits available, what exactly you can and cannot insure yourself for, for how long, and what the monthly costs are approximately. You can also contact the expert with other questions about disability.

  • Pension (Fix your pension)

There are many ways to save for the future. During the ZZP Workshop ‘Fix your pension’ an expert can give you insight into the types of pension provisions available, from when exactly you build up pension, for how long, and what the monthly costs are. You can also ask all your other questions about pensions during this workshop.

What does Oog voor Impuls offer?

Oog voor Impuls will reimburse 75% of the costs of the workshop with a maximum of €2,500. This includes the costs of speakers, renting the space, catering, etc.

We can also put you in touch with experts and speakers and help you think about the content of the workshop. In the application form, there is the possibility to indicate whether you would like this. After you have submitted the application, Oog voor Impuls will contact you to discuss your application.
